Many scientific studies have confirmed that colours have a great effect on our body and mind. It is found that colours help us heal. Color therapy, also known as chromotherapy or light therapy, is a holistic style of healing that uses the spectrum of light and colour to change subject’s mood and mental health. As per common man’s knowledge, light enters through our eyes, whereas light also enters our body through the skin. Unique vibration

Yog Nidra is also termed as conscious sleep. This is a stage between sleep and wakefulness. Without losing the awareness we visualize and this is an important technique in Yog Nidra to unlock the contents stored in our unconscious mind. A person who is not enlightened would dream regularly. Such people dream even when they are awake. Dreams begin when we detach ourselves from awareness and our sensory organs start relaxing. In a usual state of dreaming the expression of dreams, content is linked to the spontaneous build-up and release of tensions from subconscious as well as expression of unconscious dispositions. Meditation:Master Your Mind

Meditation is the greatest tool and the most effective remedy to master your mind. It trains the mind to control all the mental  processes. It  converts your reaction to the situation into the response to the psychosomatic incidents. While meditating, a person experiences the slow pace of the metabolism due to a decrease in oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide. The respiration rate becomes slower. There is a reduction in metabolic rate due to the control over the involuntary nervous system which one advances through meditation, It helps control the high blood pressure. There are highly effective techniques in meditation such as Antar Maun, Vipassana, Ajapa Japa, Trataka, Yog Nidra and Nad Brahma, to name a few, that can assist in reducing the lactate levels in our body and thus reducing blood pressure and all types of anxiety issues. Medically, it is said that people suffering from anxiety, neuroses or tension have a high level of lactate compared to when they are calm and tranqu

Image
Meditation is a very common term today, but many Medical  practitioners , psychologists, and meditative practitioners recommend people Guided meditation. In simple words, guided meditation is the method to  heal and rejuvenate  with the combination of  yoga and meditation . It also includes teachings and explanations from our great and  ancient Scriptures with the help of audio-visual displays and meditation music,  under the guidance of a trainer or master. Guided meditation  is of great help to collect and assimilate information and document it based on daily changes and effects person experiences. This helps to keep a track of the progress towards Nirvana. In the process, a person experiences the power of visualization and self-realization, to  recreate and rebuild  Kosha .  A  Kosha  usually rendered  “sheath”,  is a covering of the Self according to Vedanta philosophy. The five koshas envelop the soul like concentric rings, each more subtle than the succeeding one. Each ko

Ancient Hindu scriptures aren’t mythology, they are a guide to life management with the scientific approach. Be it  Vedas or Bhagwad Geeta ; it has everything from life management, to manpower management. It also describes how  ‘Yog and sadhna’  can be used as effective tools to live a  meaningful life . One mantra to the happy life is ‘Acceptance’. As we discussed in our past blogs on meditation, the  relaxation that it is important to face and accept your limitations to improve your focus and lower your stress level. ‘Negativity – Don’t let it hide your brightness’

Image
Meditation helps you overcome any kind of negativity and achieve the positive attitude and positive living. So what is negativity? Here, Nirvana the Moksha defines it as a form of energy that circulates around us and tries to penetrate our sheath of mind and soul, to damage it. This energy comes from the ‘panch kleshas’ that we discussed in the blog earlier. Jealousy, doubt, envy, sadness, depression, shame, fear and frustration leading to severe consequences. To understand this further we have to rewind our life and go back to the stage of ‘Abodha’ like a newborn. Newborn babies are positive personalities. They sleep peacefully, laugh, play, enjoy and love selflessly.  They are protected in a loving environment by the family. As they grow up and they are exposed to a larger circle. They are exposed to the larger prospects of feelings and emotions. They collect the mental toxic waste of negativity from their surroundings, school, playground. Still, the babies get least affected.

In the last 100 years, the way of living has drastically changed around the world. The social system and behaviour are no longer the same as it used to be in the ancient world and its effect on humans has brought dispersion in their energy levels, losing the mind, balance and harmony. Survival at the material level is gradually becoming a way of life. An inefficient senior drags his junior into trouble to save his job, sometimes falsely giving himself a credit to get promotion and some decent percentage raise in the salary. Just imagine how much corrupt thinking and planning he would be doing for all this. Worthless employees are thinking and planning all possible ways to pass on inefficient quality of work to their colleagues. People are cheating people for money, for lifestyle, which has no importance in life. Everyone is just trying every way possible to become gyani and showcase they are better than others using all possible sources to be seen as a great leader. Everyone is s
