‘Negativity – Don’t let it hide your brightness’

Meditation helps you overcome any kind of negativity and achieve the positive attitude and positive living.
So what is negativity? Here, Nirvana the Moksha defines it as a form of energy that circulates around us and tries to penetrate our sheath of mind and soul, to damage it. This energy comes from the ‘panch kleshas’ that we discussed in the blog earlier. Jealousy, doubt, envy, sadness, depression, shame, fear and frustration leading to severe consequences. To understand this further we have to rewind our life and go back to the stage of ‘Abodha’ like a newborn.
Newborn babies are positive personalities. They sleep peacefully, laugh, play, enjoy and love selflessly.  They are protected in a loving environment by the family. As they grow up and they are exposed to a larger circle. They are exposed to the larger prospects of feelings and emotions. They collect the mental toxic waste of negativity from their surroundings, school, playground. Still, the babies get least affected. The reason is that they do not interpret that waste and keep living happily with the purity of their soul. it is very relaxing to play with the infants and toddlers. it helps you wipe out your negativity for some time. What we learn from the children is stop interpreting and overthinking.
As the infant grows to a toddler and starts understanding the meanings of words and actions, he starts ignoring people who talk loud, talk harsh and shout or show unwelcomed expressions. Toddlers cuddle people with friendly vibes, play with those who smile and laugh with them. The second point that we learn here is to keep distance or ignore people with negativity, those who talk harsh, ill and have bad behaviour.
The next stage is pre-schooler. At this juncture, the child starts going to play school. This is the first time when the child gets exposed to other children from different family background and environment. This is the stage when different kind of energies starts penetrating the mind as the children start understanding words and act more as they learn quickly from what they see. It is this time when parents and teachers have to keep a check on their own actions and words so that the child does not learn bad things. The third point that we learn here is to keep a check on our words and behaviour, especially when we are in public.

As the child moves up to the stage of primary level of education he is taught to learn and adopt good manners, pleasing behaviour, to be good and a helping person, make friends and not enemies. But, we see that the many children get confused as what is taught in school is sometimes very different at home. Parents shout at maid and colleagues, abuse and fight on the road, lying to others is what the child sees, therefore apart from learning good values in school he also consumes the negative energy around. This negative energy gets stored in the mind. When the child acts and releases such negative energy then he gets scolded or punished. So the fourth point that we learn here is, its simple to tell others what to do and how, but until we provide an environment that we preach, Practice the values that we teach; its impossible to inculcate good values only by telling it to the youngsters.
At the teenage, the child is capable enough to analyse the environment and acts according to the behaviour of other people. It is said that this stage is very crucial for a person to adapt knowledge and focus of studies for a better career and life. Apart from gaining knowledge, the teenager also understands emotion and expressions of love, sex and relationship. This further leads to developing criticism, humiliation, inferiority, manipulation, hatred and greed. These are negative emotions.
You might have noticed that some people enjoy humiliating and degrading their friends and colleagues, finding happiness in it, and eventually, it becomes their habit. Certain people start their conversation using negative terms. On the other side, there are people who get very positive environment and positive people around them and believe in words and action like Joy, serenity, calmness, inspiration, enthusiasm, hope, ease, fulfilment, confidence, bliss and trust. These are positive emotions.
By the time we reach the stage of adulthood, negative energies have already damaged our layers of purity.  The mid is full of insecurity, comparisons. We are all the time tryig to prove yourself better than others. whole energy is occupied to show how rich, good looking and happening we are.  Our mind gets fully energised with the combination of negative and positive emotions due to the experience and situations they face. What we see here is the war between the positive emotion and negative emotion.
With a world full of negativity and competitions, your soul and mind need peace and recharge of positive energy. at nirvana the moksha, we strongly recommend you take a break from your busy schedule and rejuvenate your soul. Because Negative emotions are powerful, these are easy to practice and we get extreme satisfaction by hurting others.
